Conestoga senior defenseman Peter Cost had committed to play Division III lacrosse at Goucher College.
High School: Conestoga High School
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Defense
College Choice: Goucher College
Club Affiliation: Mesa Fresh 2014
Major lacrosse honors: Central League Co-Champions 2013, National Champions at Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions with Mesa Fresh 2014
Academic honors: Honor Roll 3 years straight, AP Scholar
What will you major in/study? Communications
Why did you choose the school? “I like where Coach (Brian) Kelly is bringing the team and I want to be a part of it. Not to mention, Goucher has excellent academics, great location, and the small school atmosphere I am looking for. Also, the mandatory study abroad program gives me a good excuse to try something new.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Last season did not end the way we wanted it to with our loss in the state finals to La Salle. We also lost our entire starting defense and a one of our offensive weapons, but the future is bright for Conestoga lacrosse. We have a lot depth and experience heading into this season and we will try to make it back to the state finals.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank Coach Peter Scott most of all for putting up with me and helping me with my game tremendously. I would also like to thank my other two Mesa Fresh coaches, Pat Campbell, and Pat Carney, for showing me how true team ball is played; my middle school coach, Gordon Davis, and my High School coaches, Greg Hein, Billy Davis, Brody Bush, Craig Gratton, and Brian Samson. Last but not least, I would like to thank my brothers and my parents for everything they do for me.”
