Registration is open for Scoop Lacrosse Boys’ developmental lacrosse programs at Shipley School.
The Details:
* For Beginners – new to the sport of lacrosse
* Taught on the plastic scoop sticks with a soft, rubber ball
* Directed and run by The Shipley School Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach and Athletic Director, Mark Duncan
* Basic skills emphasized: cradling, scooping, catching, throwing and shooting
* Fun drills and game like situations introduced throughout instruction
* Volunteer parent coaches needed to assist groups (Please indicate “volunteer” on registration form)
* Sundays: Sept 8 – October 6 from 2 – 2:45 pm at Shipley School, 829 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr
6 -to- 8 Year Olds
* For Advanced Beginners who have had some exposure to lacrosse
* Taught with full size sticks cut down to beginner length and pinky balls, no pads (Please bring your own stick)
* Directed and run by The Shipley School Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach and Athletic Director, Mark Duncan
* Stick skill development emphasized through drills and games
* Volunteer parent coaches needed to assist groups (Please indicate “volunteer” on registration form)
* Sundays: Sept. 8 – Oct. 6 from 2 – 3 pm at Shipley School, 829 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr
