Old School Lacrosse club, directed by Haverford School coach John Nostrant, is hosting the Old School Winter Stick Skills sessions beginning Dec. 7th at The Phelps School for boys in Grades 9, 10 and 11.
The Winter Lacrosse Training will give you the tools needed to prepare yourself for the upcoming season and beyond. Training will consist of Stick Skills, and small sided controlled settled/unsettled situations.
This is only for field players due to the high repetition of the drills being used (there will be no goalies). These sessions are not for beginners; players must have a basic proficiency. Players can register even if they do not play for the Old School club.
The sessions will focus on proper throwing/shooting mechanics in order to achieve maximum efficiency in drills and small sided situations. The curriculum is progressive and builds upon itself each week, therefore we do not add players after week one of the clinic or offer a per session rate. If you are serious about getting better you will not want to miss one of these sessions.
There will be elements of box lacrosse combined with field lacrosse techniques in a unique curriculum that produces rapid results. The curriculum and instruction is delivered by Adam Mueller, a 19 year NLL veteran and the only coach in league history to bring three separate teams to the playoffs. Coach Mueller is well known for his ability to break down skills and develop talent from youth players to the pros.
