Radnor junior defender Katy Junior has committed to the admissions process at the University of Pennsylvania.
Katy Junior log:
High school:
Radnor High School
Graduation year: 2015
Position: Defense
College choice: University of Pennsylvania
Club affiliation: Phantastix Purple
Major lacrosse honors: Honorable Mention All Delco 2013, National Tournament Philly Team 3
What will you major in/study: Undecided
Why did you choose school: “I chose UPenn because of the great mix of academics and athletics. The coaching staff is very welcoming and made my decision very easy. The campus is beautiful and I can’t wait to be part of the team.”
Outlook for your high school team: “Although we are losing many key players, we are returning a lot of depth. Losing in the state final this past year has only increased our motivation to be there again next year.”
Other comments: “I want to thank my high school coach, Brooke Fritz, for everything she has done for me. She managed to provide me with support and feedback throughout the process. I would also to thank my Phantastix coaches, Ms. Yusko, Mrs. Frazier, Mrs. Cross, and Mrs. Hager, for all the guidance they have given me through my entire process. I also want to thank my Phantastix and Norlax girls for always being there for me. Finally, I would like to thank my family for always being my support system and helping me make my decision.”
