What will you major in/study:
“I am not sure yet, but I am interested in business and special education, so I will try to find a major and/or minor that incorporates both my interests.”

Why did you choose Dartmouth? “I thought Dartmouth was perfect for me. It is one of the most beautiful college campuses I have ever seen. It has an outstanding reputation for undergraduate teaching quality and high level women’s lacrosse. Also, I really admire (coach) Amy Patton (Unionville alum) and her way of coaching, which creates some of the best team chemistry I have ever experienced.”

Outlook for your high school team in 2013:
“I transferred to Archbishop Carroll this year and am very excited to be coached by Coach (Lorraine) Beers and play for her team! Carroll has won the Catholic League (12 years) in a row and we are hoping to do the same this year and win the majority of our out-of-league games, too. We are a great team with loads of potential!”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents for sticking by me this whole recruiting journey. I would never be where I am today or the person I am today had it not been for you. You both have sacrificed so much for me to fulfill my dream of playing lacrosse in college and I cannot thank you enough for all your love and support even when times got tough for me. I am so blessed to have you! To my Ultimate Goal, Carroll, and Radnor teams, you all have been great to play with. I look forward to a great year for us all!

“I would also like to thank Michele DeJuliis, Phyllis Kilgour, Jen Duckenfield, Lorraine Beers, and Brooke Record. First for all you do for PA Women’s Lacrosse. Your expertise, your passion, and your availability to players like me to make it possible for PA girl lacrosse players to fulfill their goals and compete alongside powerhouse lacrosse players from the South, North, and West of us! And for me personally, I would like to thank Michele DeJuliis, the founder of my club team, Ultimate Goal PA. DJ, I know you always have loads to do, but you never failed to make time for me and help me accomplish my goals.

“Miss Kilgour, for seeing potential in me at a young age, putting me on your state championship team my freshman year at Radnor and looking out for me these past 4 years.

“Brooke Record, I am the player I am because of you. Your patience and interest in me as a young player has made a huge difference for me, and I am so fortunate to have developed such a close relationship with you.

“Coach Duckenfield for helping me grow as a lacrosse player in all aspects of my game. I look forward to putting these skills to great use over the next four years!

“Coach Beers, thank you for accepting me onto your team and making me feel welcome and valued as a person, as well as a player. Every day, you exemplify what the coach/player/team relationship is truly all about. Your belief in my ability is something I will cherish forever. Our Carroll team is an awesome group of players and I look forward to playing alongside each teammate.
I feel very fortunate to be a PA women’s lacrosse player and I cannot imagine being ready for Dartmouth Lacrosse without all of you!”
