Shannon Quinn scored the game-winner and Grace Collins was a standout in goal with several key stops among her 10 saves as host Radnor defeated Strath Haven, 6-5, today in Central League girls’ lacrosse.
The loss knocked the Panthers (10-2, 6-2) out of first place in the Central League and into a second-place tie with Radnor (8-3. 6-2) and Conestoga (6-2). Harriton and Springfield-Delco lead with 7-1 records.
The game was tied, 4-4, at halftime, but Brooke Pancoast (3G, 1A, 1DC, 3CTs, 4GBs) put Radnor up, 5-4 before Kirsten Wilhelmsen (two goals) tied it up for Strath Haven on a free position.
Shannon Quinn had two goals and an assist and Lyndsey Britton (1A, 4DCs, 2CTs, 3GB) had a strong game while Kate Stanley scored once for Radnor. Bri Irons scored two goals and Morgan Glassford had one for the Panthers.
