MC Curran scored four goals and Kristen Hinckley added three to lead visiting Episcopal Academy to a 10-9 thriller over Germantown Academy Friday in Inter-Ac League girls’ lacrosse.
Taryn Gallagher added a pair of goals for EA, which took over first place (3-0) and improved to 4-2 overall.
EA got strong play on defense by Briana Narzikul while Lindsey Reder (eight saves) was a standout in goal and Kristen Hinckley was a force in the midfield.
Hanna Bogorowski and Emilie Van Blarcom each led GA (4-4, 3-1) with three goals and Caroline Haynie scored twice. Allie Carrigan had eight saves.
Notre Dame 15, Agnes Irwin 11
Kat Land stopped 15 shots and Delaney Tuite led the attack with five goals and an assist to lead Notre Dame to the Inter-Ac win.
Courtney Donovan had four goals and Nora McCallion had three goals and an assist for the Irish, who improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Inter-Ac.
Agnes Irwin (2-4, 0-3) was led by Eliza Moran (4g, 2gb, 1dc, 2ct), Kristin Burnettta (3g, 4dc, 1ct), Emily Fryer (3gb, 8dc), Laura Pansini (2g, 1a, 2gb, 1dc, 2ct) and Hannah Keating (1g, 3a, 1gb, 4dc),
“AIS is a really good team,” said Notre Dame coach Erin Cook. “Our girls really showed what they are made of in the last 8 minutes and we pulled it out, led by the outstanding play of our GK Kat Land – 15 saves!! I hope we can play tomorrow (vs. Central League power Harriton in the Checking for Cancer invite at Haverford School) for two full haves like we did in the last 8 minutes today.”
Methacton 14, Phoenixville 8
Alexa Maloney had five goals and Ellie Schmidt added three goals and four assists for Methacton in thePAC-10 win.
