The Duke’s HHH 8th grade team routed host STEPS, 13-1, Monday to finish a championship sweep for Triple H teams in the Winter Nationals Indoor Lacrosse Championships at Randolph, N.J.


The title gave the Dukes HHH program all three crowns in the three-day tourney as the 7th grade team won Sunday’s tourney and the 5th-6th grade squad won on Friday.
In Monday’s action, Dukes HHH outscored its foes, 62-13 in five games. Dukes HHH claimed an 11-2 conquest of Great Swamp in the semifinals.
In Sunday’s 7th grade finals, Dukes HHH held off STEPS, 8-7, after taking an 8-3 lead. Dukes Triple H had advanced with a 9-4 triumph over Philly’s Rising Sons.

In Friday’s championship game, Dukes HHH toppled FLG, 6-5, for the crown.
“Hats off to the Dukes’ players, coaches, and parents. They are a first class organization. Their teams are extremely well coached and fun to watch play,” said tournament director Charlie Shoulberg.
Tri-State Holiday Tourney
Duke’s L.C. won both the 9th and 10th grade titles with victories over host Tri-State.
