The 2020 Philadelphia Freedom Lacrosse Team won the 2013 Summer Exposure tournament championship last weekend by defeating the RoughRiders, 8-4, in the U11AA Division.
Philadelphia Freedom rallied to win the semifinal game, 5-4 over the Breakers. In the final pool play game, Collin Pettine scored in Braveheart to defeat the Diamondbacks, 6-5.
Freedom received standout play from goalies Nico Icovino and Nate Yi and strong defense from Dylan Kilroy, Blake Terrizzi, Will Howard (LSM), Brent Romano, Blake Romano (LSM/Mid) Josth Toth, and Matt Matour.
The midfield was solid all-around on defense, face offs, transitions and scoring. That unit featured Adam Zebroski, Jared Kolinsky, Cooper Chamberlain, Champ Doyle, Collin Pettine (FO), Kennan O’Connor (FO), and Gabriel Goforth (FO). Lastly, the attack controlled the ball and produced some big goals in key moments. It was led by Cole Bertomlami, Cole Benson, Nolan Smith, Collin McGill, Drew Pettinelli, and Eric Spanos.

The boys showed a lot of heart coming from behind to win two of their games! Collin Pettine scored the game winner in the Braveheart!!
Coaches were Craig Zebrowski, Kyle Marks, Jay Kilroy, Greg Benson and Kevin Goforth.
