Phoenixville Area High School senior defenseman Chris Modica has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Eastern University.
Chris Modica log:
High School: Phoenixville Area High School
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Defense
College Choice: Eastern University
Club Affiliation: Black Bear Elite
Major lacrosse honors: 3 year varsity player, Eastern Recruitment Camp
What will you major in/study? Biblical Studies
Why did you choose Eastern? “I chose Eastern because of how beautiful the campus was, and how great the fields were. I felt comfortable with the players, and had a good connection with Coach (Kevin) Wallace. I also like how small Eastern’s campus is, having around 1,200 students living there.”
Outlook for your High School team? “We are returning all of our close defenders and a lot of our middies. We hope to be more competitive this year in the PAC-10 and receive a bid for the Final Four.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank both my Mom and Dad for supporting me throughout my lacrosse career.
“I would also like to thank my coaches; Grady Wise, Sean Weston, Jim O’Brien and Matt Campbell. Also I would like to thank my club coaches; Bob Alvord and John Hoffman.”
