Tom Meyers log:

Tom Meyers

High school: Radnor

Graduation year: 2015

Position:
Midfielder/Face-off Specialist

College choice: University of Massachusetts

Club affiliation: NXT 2015

Major lacrosse honors, camps:
Central League Champions 2013, PIAA States 2013, NXT Summer Invitational Champions 2013, Team Philly 2013, Under Armour Shootout 2013, Philly Showcase 2012/2013

What will you major in/study: Undecided

Why did you choose school: “I chose UMass because of the strong academics and the opportunity to play for a program with a long and successful tradition. Coach (Greg) Cannella and his staff are committed to developing my game and me as an individual. I felt at home on the campus and meshed well with the players that I met. UMass gives me the opportunities to reach my goals academically and athletically.”

Outlook for your high school team: “We had a great season last year, led by many graduating seniors. However, we are bringing back strong underclassmen with significant club experience. Radnor will be looking to make another run at the Central League title as well as a trip to states.”

Other comments:
“I’d like to thank the Radnor HS coaches, John Begier, George Corrigan, Mike Busza, Mike Friel and John Sims, for providing the opportunity to play lacrosse and be part of a strong lacrosse tradition. In addition, I’d like to call out my NXT 2015 coaches, Andy Hayes, Dan Deckelbaum, John Bodnar and Warren Danenza, for offering a great club experience. Lastly, I’d like to thank my parents and two older brothers for always guiding me to the next level.”

Other schools considered: Bryant, Towson, St. Joseph’s and Binghamton.
