On Friday at the US Lacrosse National Convention here in Philadelphia a ring ceremony will be held for the United States U-19 team for winning the FIL World Championship last August in Hannover, Germany.

USA U19 standouts Brigid Smith (left) and Taylor Trimble (Episcopal Academy) will be live guests tonight on the "Lax High" radio show

And tonight lacrosse fans can listen live to two of the players – including captain and Episcopal Academy grad Taylor Trimble – as Phillylacrosse.com Editor Chris Goldberg and Inside lacrosse’s Ty Xanders host their “Lax High” radio show on the Lacrosse Radio Network at 6:30 p.m.

The show cane be accessed by clicking here. Callers are welcome – just dial (805) 727-7011.

Trimble will be joined by fellow Duke freshman Brigid Smith, a grad of scholastic power Good Counsel (MD). Trimble was named All-World and Smith played a key role in August when the US team claimed its fourth straight championship by rallying past Australia, 14-11, in the title game. The show tonight also will feature USA coach Krystin Porcella, whose interview was taped and will be played.

The US squad came back from a 6-3 deficit against the Aussies and finished the tourney undefeated. Porcella addressed the thrill of winning the championship and coaching a group of players that showed honor to its country for a standout performance.

“Lax High” is aired live every other week and shows can be accessed at any time in the archives, located at the blogtalk radio network.
