On Friday at the US Lacrosse National Convention here in Philadelphia a ring ceremony will be held for the United States U-19 team for winning the FIL World Championship last August in Hannover, Germany.

And tonight lacrosse fans can listen live to two of the players – including captain and Episcopal Academy grad Taylor Trimble – as Phillylacrosse.com Editor Chris Goldberg and Inside lacrosse’s Ty Xanders host their “Lax High” radio show on the Lacrosse Radio Network at 6:30 p.m.

Trimble will be joined by fellow Duke freshman Brigid Smith, a grad of scholastic power Good Counsel (MD). Trimble was named All-World and Smith played a key role in August when the US team claimed its fourth straight championship by rallying past Australia, 14-11, in the title game. The show tonight also will feature USA coach Krystin Porcella, whose interview was taped and will be played.
The US squad came back from a 6-3 deficit against the Aussies and finished the tourney undefeated. Porcella addressed the thrill of winning the championship and coaching a group of players that showed honor to its country for a standout performance.
