Thursday’s girls’ roundup: Hatboro-Horsham edges NP; Springfield-Delco downs Conestoga

Caroline Hagan scored three goals while Rachel Rausa and Nicole Beck each contributed two as Hatboro-Horsham earned a key 10-9 Suburban One Continental Conference win over host North Penn Thursday.

The Hatters improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the league with their first win over the Maidens since 2007. North Penn (5-2, 3-1) had won all six meetings since the teams became rivals in the conference.

Cortnee Daly added a goal and two assists for HH while Lizzy Carr had a goal and an assists and Julie McKey scored once. Jackie Giovinazzio had eight saves for the Hatters.

Aubrie Stouffer had three goals and Laura DeLongis added a pair for the Maidens.

Springfield-Delco 16, Conestoga 7

Maddy Lynch and Kate Ryan each pumped in four goals as the Cougars routed the Pioneers in a Central League game.

Kelly Morrison, Meghan McGillis and Mackenzie Orr each had two goals for the Pioneers.

Harriton 16, Marple Newtown 3

Visiting Harriton (8-0 overall, 4-0 Central League) scored the first 11 goals of the game and got strong efforts from Katie Melvin (5 G), Caleigh Foust (3G, 2A, 3DCs), Jess Schwab (3G, 4 DCs, 2 CTs) and Sabrina Tabasso (3G, 4A, 2 GBs).

Garnet Valley 14, Penncrest 5

Haley Warden had four goals and Halley Barnes added three goals and an assist while Ally Heavens had two goals and two assists for the Jaguars (8-0) in their Central League win.

Haverford High 18, Lower Merion 11

Katrina Geiger erupted for 10 goals and three assists and Amanda Case had five goals to pace the Fords.

Erin Gallagher tallied four goals for the Aces.

Villa Maria Academy 23, Nazareth 3

Jenna Mertz had three goals and Kathleen McAssey had two goals and four assists to pace VMA in the Catholic Academies.

Merion Mercy Academy 23, Villa Joseph Marie 9

Bonnie McShane had five goals and two assists for the Bears in the catholic academies win.

Wissahickon 16, Upper Merion 10

Laura Frankenfield collected seven goals and four goals for the Trojans in the American Conference win.

Scorers for UM:

Dominique Gambone- had three goals and two assists for the Bears.

Upper Dublin 15, Upper Moreland 3

Kelly Cross had three goals and three assists to lead the Cardinals to the Suburban one American Conference win.

Samara Santry had two goals for the Bears.

Pennridge 15, Central Bucks East 7

Leah Alcott had fired in six goals and Taylor Dachowski added four to help the Rams claim the Continental Conference win.

Springfield-Montco 20, Jenkintown 7
Libby Field had seven goals and Anna Studenmand tallied four for the Spartans.

Connor Cheek had two goals for the Drakes.

Unionivlle 9, Avon Grove 8

Kris Abens had three goals and Nicole Bonaduce was a standout in goal with 12 saves to pace the Indians.

Kasey Callaway led the Devils with five goals.
