Niko Amato (La Salle) posted 14 saves while Owen Blye (Downingtown East) scored once and Goran Murray (Haverford School) played standout defense to help No. 5 Maryland earn a 10-7 Atlantic Coast Conference win Saturday over visiting and No. 8 Duke.
Murray had a groundball and a caused turnover and help to limit Duke standout Jordan Wolf (Lower Merion) to one assist.
Air Force 13, Quinnipiac 3
Freshman Keith Dreyer (Malvern Prep) had two goals and three assists for Air Force. Dreyer now has six goals and 13 assist in four games.
Georgetown 12, Detroit Mercy 7
Tyler Knarr (La Salle) won 12 of 19 face-offs to lead the Hoyas to the win.
St. John’s 8, Siena 5
Charlie Holenstein (Downingtown West) scored twice, defenseman Mark DiFrangia (La Salle) had four groundballs and three caused turnovers, defenseman Joe Addona (Springfield-Delco) collected three groundballs and a caused turnover, Connor Mullen (Downingtown West) had an assist and two groundballs and Colin Keegan (Springfield-Delco) had a groundball to lead the Red Storm victory.
Bryant 15, Vermont 8
Cody Isdaner (Episcopal Academy) had a goal and two assists and Mason Poli (Downingtown East) scored once for Bryant in its victory.
Colgate 24, Robert Morris 14
Tyler Rankel (Downingtown West) had two assists, three groundballs and two caused turnovers and Dave Morton (Hill School) had a goal for RM in the loss.
UMass 12, Brown 7
Colin Fleming (St. Joseph’s Prep) scored once for UMass (4-0).
Towson 10, Mount St. Mary’s 8
Matt Hughes (Central Bucks East) had a goal and an assist for Towson while Daniel Stranix (Ridley) led the Mount with three assists.
Cornell 18, Army 7
Defenseman Mike Bronzino (Conestoga) had a groundball and a caused turnover for Cornell.
