The following is a recap of games Saturday in Delaware high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse.
The Sussex Tech Ravens on 7 goals by John Rederfer, 5 by Michael Bateman, 4 by Jordan Dill and 2 by Willis Dickerson defeated the Raiders of Concord by a 20-16 score. Timothy Bada recorded 1 save in the net and teammate Nelson Lopez recorded 9 saves.
2 goals each by Zachary Conaway, Ryan McQuaide and Corey Dawson paced the Senators of Dover High School to a 11-1 win over the Lions of Red Lion Christian. In the nets, Clayton Ballard for the Senators recorded 4 saves and for Red Lion Christian Austin Costello recorded 14.
5 goals by David Schmidt, 3 by Alden Clapp and Garrett Dixon, 2 goals by Austin Hayward and Hunter Schaeffer paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 18-5 win over the Force of Charter. For the Force in the loss, David Rathmanner recorded 2 goals. In the nets for the Riders, Johnmichael Smith recorded 17 saves and for the Force of Charter, Matthew Parks recorded 10 saves.
3 goals by Nicholas Slater, 2 by Korion Winder paced the Panthers of Polytech to a 8-6 win over the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy. For DMA Derrick Daniels led with 5 goals. In the nets for Polytech Brian Chillias recorded 7 saves while for Delaware Military Academy Thomas Dyson recorded 12 saves.
4 goals by Alec Shannon, 2 goals by Christopher Daley paced the Tigers of Alexis I DuPont to an 11-1 win over the Yellowjackets of Newark. Andrew Fox recorded 7 saves for AI and for Newark, Daniel Hall recorded 15 saves.
4 goals by Connor Beatson and Bryan Garrahan, 2 by Ryan Beatson, Christopher Corsi and Daniel Ehrlichmann paced the Auks of Archmere to a 15-1 win over the Bulldogs of Brandywine.
2 goals by Christopher Truitt and Samuel Zingaro paced the St. Elizabeth Vikings to a 7-4 win over the Bucs of Milford. For the Bucs, Steve Won recorded 3 saves in the loss. Sidney Smith recorded 4 saves in the nets for St. E’s along with teammate Billy Kleinhomer recorded 5 saves.
6 goals by Roger Evans and 1 by teammate Spencer Lockard paced the Warriors of Wilmington Christian to a 7-6 win over Pencader Charter. For the Titans, in the loss, Jason Ammerman and Thomas Warrick each recorded 3 goals. In the nets for Pencader Charter Nicholas Borden recorded 15 saves.
8 goals by John Benson, 2 goals each by Todd Keen and Jerome Johnson paced the Vikings of Cape Henlopen to a 14-5 win over the Cardinals of St. Andrews School. For the Cards in the loss, Joseph Dworkin led with 2 goals. In the nets, for Cape Henlopen, Grant Gillian recorded 11 saves and for St. Andrews, Benjamin Egan recorded 6.
3 goals by Madeline Voshell, 2 by Megan Webb paced the Lady Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 9-5 win over the Lady Ravens of St. Thomas More. For St. Thomas More, Christine Petrosky led with 3 goals. Lauren Biddle recorded 6 saves in the nets for the Lady Riders.
6 goals by Haley Schweizer, 3 by Catherine Arminger, 2 by Taryn Schweizer and Jacqueline Thompson and Laura Cooney paced the Lady Spartans of St. Mark’s to a 19-5 win over the Lady Cavaliers of Middletown. Cassady Flanagan recorded 6 saves for the Lady Spartans.
5 goals by Elyse Andrews, 2 by Tori Zugehar, Alissa Salvitti paced the Lady Auks of Archmere to a 15-2 win over the Brandywine Bulldogs. For the Bulldogs, Holly George recorded 2 goals in the loss. In the nets, for Archmere, Lucia Rizzo recorded 4 saves and for Brandywine, Kate Boettinger recorded 6.
8 goals by Anna Frederick, 4 by Jaclyn Coveleski, 2 by Allie Yeager, Karalyn Joseph and Jordan Brown paced the Lady Vikings of Cape Henlopen to a 22-0 win over the Lady Raiders of Concord. In the nets for Cape, Margaret Delp recorded 1 save.
