Philadelphia Wings forward Dan Dawson took his home his second consecutive Offensive Player of the Week honor while teammate Kevin Crowley was awarded the Rookie of the Week for week seven, the National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today.
For the second consecutive game, Dawson tallied 10 points for the Wings scoring a hat trick of goals and adding seven assists in a 14-8 road victory over the 2011 NLL Champion Toronto Rock. During the Wings current two-game win streak, Dawson has scored four goals and dished out 16 helpers. He currently paces the NLL with 34 assists.
Rookie forward Kevin Crowley was also honored with his second Player of the Week award of the season after scoring three goals and tallying five assists in Saturday’s victory. Crowley currently leads all rookies with 17 goals on the season.
Dawson and Crowley will both represent the East Division in the NLL All-Star Game Saturday, February 25 in Buffalo.
The Wings will visit the Edmonton Rush on Friday, February 24 at 9 p.m. before returning to host the Rochester Knighthawks at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, March 3 at 7 p.m.
