PA Media Boys’ Lacrosse Rankings: Conestoga, Haverford School get No. 1 spots in preseason polls

Conestoga and Haverford School earned the No. 1 spots in the preseason Pennsylvania Media Boys’ Lacrosse Rankings released today.

Haverford School, which went 23-0 last year and earned a national championship according to the national polls, received all 10 first-place votes in the All-Schools division.
Conestoga, which won its second straight Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) championship, placed first in the PIAA division. The Pioneers had all 10 first-place votes and 100 points in the PIAA poll, while also placing second to Haverford School in the All-Schools Division.

Each week a panel of journalists from around the state and the Mid-Atlantic rank the top teams. The panel includes Chris Goldberg of Phillylacrosse.com, Jimmy Oliver of LaxPower, Brett Manney of ESPNHS, Dennis C. Way of the Norristown Times Herald, Scott Johnston of the Lehigh Valley Press, Matthew Blymier of the Lancaster Intelligencer, Dave Assad of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazzette, the Bucks County Courier Times, the Doylestown Intelligencer, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. The poll was created by Goldberg.
