McDonogh School (MD) junior defense/LSM Danny Sweeney has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.

Major lacrosse Honors: Maryland Freestate team, Top 205 all star, Bison Brawl All-Star, McDonogh varsity since sophomore year
What will you study? “Right now I’m in the Liberal Arts School but I’m hoping to get into the Business School.
Why did you choose Nova? “I chose Nova because I really liked the team, the coaching staff and the campus. I also really like the size of the school, I feel that it is the perfect size for me.”
What’s your High school team’s outlook for the season? “McDonogh has lost a lot of seniors which has left a hole for us to fill, but we have been working hard this off-season so when spring comes we will be able to seriously compete for a championship.”
