High School: St. Albans School

Club Affiliation: MadLax
Major lacrosse honors: 2 year varsity starter, attended Top 205, The Shootout, Peak 200

What will you major in/study: Business
Why did you choose school? “When I stepped on campus at Lehigh I immediately felt like part of the Lehigh lacrosse family. I felt like this was a place that I could succeed both academically and athletically, and that Coach (Kevin) Cassese was 100% confident in me. I believe in the next few years Lehigh will be a force to be reckoned with in the Patriot League and I want to contribute to that. I feel that Lehigh was the perfect fit for me as a student as well.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “Our goal as always is to win our league. We play in one of the toughest leagues in the nation (DC IAC) but we like the challenge of playing great teams every week. Our coaching staff has us working extremely hard on the field and in the weight room to prepare us for the spring. We have great senior leadership this year as well as a great returning group of sophomores and juniors that are eager to get better and take our program to the next level.”
Other comments: I want to first thank Lehigh Coaches (Kevin) Cassese, (Brendan) Callahan, (Errol) Wilson, and (Tom) Compitello for giving me the opportunity to join the Lehigh family and play lacrosse for them. I would also like to thank my coaches at St. Albans, Coach [Malcolm] Lester, Coach [Tyler] Casertano, Coach [Robbie] Walsh, Coach [Courtney] Baker, and Coach [Jon] Miller for supporting me through my first two years of high school. I want to thank Coach [Cabell] Maddux and all of the MadLax coaches for spending their summers with me and our team and advocating for me throughout the recruitment process.
“Special thanks goes to Mike Hill, the strength and conditioning coach at Georgetown, and Augie Maurelli, current strength coach for Delaware football and former Georgetown strength coach. Both have been integral parts of my athletic development and mentors to me. Thanks to my friends and teammates for keeping me humble and never letting me settle for mediocrity. I want to thank my two older brothers [former captain of Georgetown basketball and current Georgetown basketball assistant coach] Ryan, and Pat for teaching me so much about sports and life, and my parents for always encouraging me to strive for excellence. Finally I to thank God for all that he does and all the blessings he has given me.”
