Owen J. Roberts rising senior midfielder-attackman Nick Tordone has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Vermont.
Nick Tordone log:

High school: Owen J. Roberts
Graduation year: 2013
Position: Middie/Attack
College choice: Vermont
Club affiliations: HEADstrong, PYLA, Baggataway
Major lacrosse honors: PAC 10 All Conference 1st Team, All Area 1st Team, Philly Showcase Gait FAB 40 All Star
What will you major in/study: Business
Why did you choose school? “As soon as I stepped on to the campus I knew that it was the right fit for me. The school is beautiful and the people there made me feel right at home. The lacrosse team’s attitude to always keep improving is something that made the decision easy. I am excited to play for Coach Curtis and be a Catamount in the future.”
Other schools considered: Navy, Mt. St. Mary’s, Rutgers and Hartford
Outlook for your high school team: “We had an average year in 2012. We are losing some key role players but at the same time there is a ton of experience on the team that will help us out a lot in 2013. It should be a good year for us and we will hopefully get beyond the PAC-10 and deeper into the District 1 tournament compared to the past.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents, my brothers Matt & Joey, and my extend family for their support. All my coaches from Youth through High School – Coventry Youth Lacrosse, Owen J Roberts High School, The HEADstrong Foundation, Baggataway Lacrosse Club and PYLA. Finally, my teammates and the competitors who challenged me to play at my best.”
