La Salle senior LSM/defenseman Andrew Grajewski has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Monmouth University.
Andrew Grajewski log:
High School: La Salle College High School
Graduation Year: 2013
Position: LSM, defense
College Choice: Monmouth University
Club Affiliation: HEADstrong lacrosse club
Major lacrosse honors: Second team All Catholic
What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose the school? “I chose Monmouth because it was a perfect fit and exactly what I was looking for. It is exciting to be a part of a new program and to try to win a championship in the early years of the program. I believe that would be possible with the impressive coaching staff. Coach (Brian) Fisher and Coach (Andrew) Geison made me feel at home when I was visiting campus. They both have amazing experience at the collegiate level and I believe they can take the program to a new level. I loved the sports facilities and the academic programs.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We have huge expectations for next season. Last year we worked pretty hard but came up short in the end (in the state finals). This year we are expecting to work even harder and consistently play at our highest level to win every game. This year we are expecting to win the PCL championship and in the end win a State Championship.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank both of my parents for making this all possible. They spent countless hours driving me to tournaments and helped with equipment and other things. I would also like to thank my high school coaches, Bill Leahy and Tony Resch, for making me work at my game and improving my skill immensely the past years. Finally, I would like to thank my club coach, Brian Neary, for improving my game over the summer and helping me to be seen by different coaches.”
