Manheim Township junior midfield-attack Toni Yuko has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Temple University.

What will you major in/study? Biochemistry/Pre-med

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Temple because I love the coaching philosophy, the academic opportunities and the excitement of the city. Coaches Bonnie Rosen, Jen Wong and Julianna Jeffers made me feel really welcome when visiting and showing me around the campus. Having a few former club teammates on the team, as well as meeting some of the other players, I instantly felt comfortable and feel that Temple is a great fit. I’m looking forward to being in the city and I think the atmosphere will be a good experience. Temple also provides me with many academic opportunities to help me succeed. I’m excited to be a Temple Owl!”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “My team has been undefeated throughout the regular season ever since I’ve been in high school. Although we lost key players for this year, we also gained some really solid freshmen. We’re going to work hard and we plan to keep our league and district titles as well as making a good run in states.”
