The HEADstrong Foundation was created by Hofstra lacrosse player Nicholas “HEAD” Colleluori, who died of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma five years ago. The HEADstrong Foundation is run by Nick’s family and led by older brother Pat, President Cheryl Colleluori and younger brother Michael Colleluori, who followed Nick’s footsteps and became a standout at Hofstra. The HEADstrong Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer treatment and research and development.
This year the HEADstrong Foundation will be running dozens of high school lacrosse events, including the annual Rivalry Games at Widener during Easter Weekend. Pat Colleluori will speak to these events as well as fundraising events such as “Score for the Cure” and the Lime Light Gala, being held March 23 in Philadelphia.
