Delaney Tuite scored in overtime to give host Notre Dame Academy a 20-19 victory over Germantown Academy Friday in Inter-Ac league girls’ lacrosse.
Kristen Bandos had seven goals and three assists for the Fighting Irish (9-1, 5-1) while Carlianne McCabe and Courtney Donovan (seven draw controls) each had four goals and an assist. Nora McCallion had three goals and three assists.
For GA (9-4, 4-2), Hanna Bogorowski had five goals and an assist and Caroline Haynie had four goals and two assists while Brooke Kiley contributed four goals, one assist and seven draw controls.
Germantown Friends 14, Shipley School 13
Iris Williamson had five goals, three assists, seven draw controls, four caused turnovers and four groundballs and Isabella DiDio scored four goals while as the Tigers (10-0, 4-0) remained perfect in the Friends Schools League.
Annie Tyson added three goals and Annie Morrissey had two goals and two assists for GFS. Lauren Shinn was strong in the second half with eight saves.
Caryn Miller, Alex Clarke, Caroline Myran and Sophie Mercuris (two key groundballs) held Shipley (10-3, 2-2) scoreless for the first 13 minutes of the second half. Myran grabbed the most important draw of the game and Caryn Miller had a key clear on a triple team.
Pennridge 17, Cheltenhem 16
Senior Sarah Wiley scored with six seconds remaining to propel the Rams to the dramatic win in a non-league contest.
The Rams were led by the four-goal efforts of Leah Alcott and Aerin McHugh while Taylor Dachowski added a hat trick. Wiley had a pair of goals, and Molly Hurley, Megan Conwell, Jackie Stevens and Sam Rider each added single goals.
Sammie McManus (six goals) and Allison Hawkins (five goals) had big days offensively for the Panthers.
