Drexel’s Glynn (St. Joseph’s Prep) upgraded to fair condition after being struck by car

Drexel senior Brendan Glynn (St. Joseph’s Prep) has been upgraded to fair condition at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania as he recovers after being struck by a car last weekend, a hospital spokesperson said.

Glynn has suffered injuries to his head, jaw, leg, and other areas and has undergone a number of surgeries, a family friend told

Glynn, 22, was hit by a car at the corner of 36th and Chestnut streets in Philadelphia on Dec. 9, just before 2 a.m., police said.

Glynn, an attackman from Villanova, had 26 goals and 11 assists last year after notching 23 goals as a sophomore and four as a freshman.

He was an All-Catholic League and All-EPSLA pick as well as a Third-Team selection as a senior when he was named the Catholic League Southern Division MVP.

He finished his career as the leading scorer in St. Joseph’s Prep history.
