Delaware will hold its boys’ Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Lacrosse semifinals tonight at Caravel Academy in Bear.
The match ups feature top seeded Caesar Rodney (16-1) vs. Archmere (15-2) at 6:00 pm and second seeded Tower Hill (15-2) vs. third-seeded Salesianum (14-3) at 8:00 pm
In Saturday’s quarterfinals:
Caesar Rodney 17, Charter School 2
6 goals by David Schmidt, 4 goals by Gehrig Johnson, 3 by Hunter Schaeffer and 2 by Alden Clapp paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 17-2 win over The Charter School of Wilmington. David Rathmanner and Kevin Clark each registered 1 goal for Charter.
Salesianum School 16, Friends 1
4 goals by Sean Giampietro, 3 goals by Dillon Walker, 2 each by Jason Kelly and Bailey Martin paced the Sals of Salesianum to a 16-1 win over the Quakers of Friends. Sean Kirkpatrick scored the only goal for the Quakers in the defeat.
Archmere 9, St. Mark’s 8
3 goals by Zachary Revak, 2 by Bryan Garrahan and Colin Duffy paced the Auks of Archmere to a 9-8 win over the Spartans of St. Marks. For the Spartans, James Magnani led with 4 goals, 2 by Joseph Giannaras.
Tower Hill 8, Cape Henlopen 6
The Hillers of Tower Hill advanced to the semi final round of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association 2012 Boys Lacrosse Tournament on 3 goals by Andy Pettit and 2 by Ross Bolling as they defeated the Vikings of Cape Henlopen by an 8-6 score. For Cape, Jerome Johnson led with 2 goals.
