Gonzaga (D.C.) proved Monday why is is ranked nationally in boys’ lacrosse.
The Purple Eagles came up to Cabrini College to play St. Joseph’s Prep in a LEAPS Lacrosse benefit and bolted out to a 10-0 halftime lead before cruising to a 12-5 victory.
Gonzaga, ranked No. 18 by MaxPreps.com this week, got three goals from Hobart commit Alex Corboy and Joe Fitzpatrick.
The Prep, which fell to 1-2, got goals from Blaine Fleming, Pat Swanick, Anthony Marini, Scott Scheuerle and Timmy Browne.
The day was a success for all, though, as enough equippment was collected/donated to supply 20 new lacrosse players for LEAPS Lacrosse.
