Charlie Holenstein (Downingtown West) notched the game-winner with two seconds left on the clock as visiting St. John’s stunned Rutgers, 7-6, Saturday in a men’s BIG EAST contest.
The Red Storm (4-2, 1-1) had tied the game 16 seconds earlier after freshman defenseman Mark DiFrangia (La Salle) caused a key turnover. Colin Keegan (Springfield-Delco) scored once and Joe Addona (Springfield-Delco) also paced the St. John’s defense.
Bryant 14, Albany 12
Defenseman scoring machine Mason Poli (Downingtown East) tallied a hat trick and Cody Isdaner (Episcopal Academy) added goals as the Bulldogs prevailed.
Loyola 15, Air Force 8
Keith Dreyer (Malvern Prep) had a goal and three assists for Air Force (3-3).
Johns Hopkins 11, Syracuse 7
Defenseman Tucker Durkin (La Salle) had two groundballs and two caused turnovers for the No. 2 Blue Jays in their win over the Orange. Matt Lerman (Episcopal Academy) made eight saves for Syracuse.
Hartford 15, Quinnipiac 12
Tate Klidonas (Emmaus) had two assists and three groundballs to help Hartford gain the win.
Robert Morris 14, Hobart 12
Dave Morton (Hill School) scored once for Robert Morris while Peter Zonino (Conestoga) made 13 saves for Hobart.
