The event celebrates four years of contributions made by LEAPS to underserved and inner-city youths in the Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware region.

Saturday’s benefit event will feature a youth clinic followed by girls’ and boys’ youth games between Public league All-Stars and suburban club programs (see schedule below). The highlight will be a charity game at noon featuring many well-known Philly standouts that have excelled at the high school, college and professional levels.

This spring, Roxborough, Frankford and West Philly High Schools will all start teams. LEAPS has also partnered with the Salvation Army Kroc Center to facilitate lacrosse camps and a lacrosse club for inner city youth.

“Chestnut Hill College is proud to host the 3rd Annual LEAPS Charity event,” said Brian Dougherty, Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at CHC and a recent inductee into the US lacrosse Hall of Fame. “As a college located in the city limits of Philadelphia we recognize what a great job LEAPS is doing to promote the great sport of lacrosse to boys and girls living in the city.”
