Manheim Township rising junior attack Gabby Cardina has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Cardina was the first Pennsylvania girl in the Class of 2014 to commit to a Division I school earlier this summer.

Why did you choose the school? “I felt it was a perfect fit for me because UMBC has everything I need to be successful in both my lacrosse career and my education. I admire UMBC’s high-level academics and its convenient campus. Also, I love the coaches and am excited to continue playing lacrosse as a Retriever!”
Outlook for 2013 HS season: “My goal for this Spring is to go undefeated and keep our league and district titles.”
