Great Valley senior attack Caitlin Kratzer has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Coastal Carolina University.

Caitlin Kratzer log:

Caitlin Kratzer

High School: Great Valley High School

Graduation Year:
2012

Position: Attack

College Choice:
Coastal Carolina University

Club Affiliation: Mongoose Lacrosse

Major lacrosse honors: 2011 US Lacrosse Academic All-American

Academic honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Exercise and Sports Science

Why did you choose school? “I was excited to be apart of a new program (begins intercollegiate play in 2013) and help set high standards for the future Coastal Lacrosse players. Coach (Jaime) Sellers and Coach (Christie) Kaestner also swayed my decision to commit to Coastal. Their goals for the seasons to come were exciting to hear about and I cannot wait to become apart of the first Lacrosse team ever at Coastal.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year?
“This year my HS team has set our goals very high. Everyone on our team is committed to do whatever it takes to go all the way to states and win. We work extremely hard everyday towards our goal. The team this year has been playing together since elementary school so we click really well when playing on the field.”

Other comments: “I am thankful for my mom and the support she has given me throughout all the years I have played lacrosse. As a coach she pushed me to my limits and I would not be where i am today if she did not. I am also thankful for (Great Valley and Mongoose) Coach T (Joe Tornetta) who helped me develop a good work ethic and determined attitude. Lastly, I am thankful for everyone on my team for being that home away from home for me. I have made great friends while playing at GV and I know I will keep in touch with them.”
