Greg Cattrano Goalie Clinic, July 29, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Shipley’s Farm Field in Gladwynne. For boys and girls of all ages and all levels. One-on-One Instruction with Greg Cattrano, formerly of the MLL champion Philadelphia Barraga and now of the Long Island Lizards, as well as other top coaches. Provided are: Greg’s Goalie Philosophy, Unique Goalie Drills, Group Work, Techniques, Individual Analysis, Cardio Work-Outs with Certified Trainer Kim Whelan (Barrage, Wings, Philly Soul), Tips, Pointers, Handouts and Warrior Giveaways. The clinic is co-directed by Shipley coach Mark Duncan.
Tournaments
United Sports-a-Palooza, June 25. United Sports is launching its First annual United Sports-a-Palooza, an Adult Multi-Sports festival featuring Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse. The tournament will be held on June 25, 2011 at United Sports in Downingtown, PA. After games on Saturday, teams will join together for a BBQ Festival. This celebration will include live music, food and beverage, tailgating games, indoor activities for kids, non-profit organizations, and beer/wine garden. A portion of the proceeds will go towards various local charities.
Women’s Lacrosse: Team Fee — $700; 7 v 7 (All teams must have a goalie); Guaranteed FOUR 25 min games. Portion of proceeds will be donated to the Caroline Cranston Memorial/Scholarship Fund. Camps
Navy girls’ camps, at the United States Naval Academy, in June and July. Navy Women’s Lacrosse Camps are designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game, as well as team concepts in a fun, educational and confidence building environment. It is a chance to learn sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. It is also a great opportunity to meet other young lacrosse players and experience different coaching techniques from some of the best coaches in the nation. The camps will be directed by Timchal and the Navy women’s lacrosse coaching staff. Timchal is the all-time wins leader in NCAA lacrosse history and has won eight national championships.
Navy Youth Day Camp

This challenging camp is designed for the elite lacrosse player who aspires to play lacrosse in college. The sessions are intense, highly competitive, and emphasize high level techniques, skills and strategies. Evening sessions include full-field games. Goalie instruction will be offered. Camp also includes a College Recruiting Question and Answer session.
Navy Open Blue Camp

Rising seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders

This camp is designed for players of all ability levels. There is a strong emphasis on mastering skills as well as moving on to more advanced parts of the game. Sessions will focus on individual skills, team concepts and full field play. Campers will be divided by age and skill level in order to provide the appropriate learning environment. Goalie instruction will be offered.

USA U-19 National Team Day Camp for girls aged 6 to 14 June 27-29 at The Hill School in Pottstown. Episcopal Academy’s Taylor Trimble and Downingtown East’s Allie Murray will be among the coaches. The camp runs each day for 9 a.m.-noon and focuses on skill-building and drill work. The U19 team will be playing in the 2011 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships in Hannover, Germany Aug. 3-14.

The Philly Showcase Camp, overnight showcase and instructional camp, for girls in Classes 2013 and 2014, at Albright College in Reading, July 19-21.
Sponsored by Showcase Lacrosse, the Showcase Camp will be directed by Karin Brower Corbett, the women’s’ lacrosse coach at the nationally-ranked power University of Pennsylvania. On the field, the girls will be divided into rosters, with each roster overseen by a prominent college coach, and will play a series of games interspersed between detailed instructional sessions. Additionally, all games at the Showcase Camp will be professionally filmed, catalogued and indexed by Showcase video partner Krossover Intelligence.
Compliments of Krossover, every player will receive a free customized video index of all plays from Showcase Camp games in which she featured. With a few clicks this video clip index can be turned into a free highlight film and shared with college coaches.

Villanova Univ. Day Camp – Grades 6-8, July 14-16
The Villanova Women’s Lacrosse Day Camp is designed for the young athlete’s introduction and understanding of the sport. Each player receives instruction on the principles of lacrosse through a three-day, twelve-hour camp system convenient with parents’ schedules. Individual concepts such as proper passing and catching, 1v1 strategy, and shooting are paired with full field performance concepts such as defending, pick and rolls, and off-ball movement. Instruction shaped by encouragement shapes a love for the sport.
