Under Armour Underclasssmen Games: Philly boys open with 11-7 victory over Upstate New York

Brad Lord (Conestoga) had three goals and two assists while Sam Rohr (Haverford School) and Matt Rambo (La Salle) each added two goals to lift Team Philly to an 11-7 victory over Upstate New York today in the first game of pol play in the annual Under Armour Underclassmen Games at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Trevor Kupecky (Upper Merion), Tyler Brooke (Conestoga), Will McNamara (Haverford School) and Eric Rankel (Downingtown West) each scored once while Matt Ward (Ridley) and Eddie Morris (Malvern Prep) paced the defense as Team Philly bolted to a 7-3 halftime lead. Steve Breodeur (Strath Haven) and Robbie Zonino (Conestoga) each excelled in the goal.

Philly meets New England Saturday at noon in its next game and then faces the South at 4 p.m. It closes pool play Sunday vs. Long Island at 8 a.m..
