Under Armour, Inc. (NYSE: UA) and Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. announced today the selection of the nation’s top boys and girls high school seniors to the prestigious All-America lacrosse rosters. The sixth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place on Saturday, July 2 at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, MD.

The University of Maryland men’s lacrosse program led the nation as six of its incoming recruits earned All-America honors. The women’s programs at Duke, Florida, and Maryland each had four. The collegiate rosters for the men’s and women’s teams who will be competing in this weekend’s NCAA Division I championships are comprised of a total of 107 Under Armour All-America alumnae.

Downingtown East placed two players on the South squad: goalie Allie Murray and midfielder Kelly Devlin. Also chosen from Philly were Radnor goalie Annie Woehling, Episcopal Academy midfielder Taylor Trimble and Baldwin School midfielder Sloan Warren.

This year marks the first year a female player from the states of Texas (Emily Newstrom/Midfield Cypress, TX/Cy-Fair/Stanford/South Team) and Florida (Courtney Swan/Midfield/Vero Beach, FL/Vero Beach/UVA/South Team) were selected as All-Americans.

A full weekend of events is scheduled, highlighted by the All-America boys showcase live on ESPNU at 8PM and the girls’ game at 4PM on Saturday. For the first time the weekend will include a professional men’s exhibition game and a concert. The LXM PRO Showcase will be held between the girls’ and boys’ games at 6PM, and the evening will conclude with a performance by hip-hop artist and DC native Wale.

Carol Rainson-Rose (Northport HS; Northport, NY) will lead the North girls team and Mary Bartel (Notre Dame Preparatory School; Towson, MD) will head the South girls.

The Underclass tournament associated with the event expanded this year to include South and West regions for the first time. These regions will compete against teams from Baltimore, Long Island, Midwest, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, upstate NY and Washington, D.C. The three-day Underclass tournament (July 1 – 3) culminates Sunday with the girls’ and boys’ finals at 3:30PM on the fields surrounding Unitas Stadium.
