Emily Scullin and Rachel Kalick each scored three goals to help host Great Valley claim a key 14-10 victory over Downingtown West Tuesday in Ches-Mont League girls’ lacrosse.
Catherine Shaughnessy had two goals and an assist while Caitlin Kratzer and Ali Karwoski added two goals each for the Patriots (7-1 overall, 3-1 league), who dealt the Whippets (5-1, 2-1) their first loss of the year.
The games was tied, 8-8, at halftime.
Eva Winiarski led Downingtown West with five goals and two assist while Paige Donnell and Shannon Fluharty each scored twice.
Haverford 14, Lower Merion 4
Jill Root and Katrina Geiger each scored three goals as the Fords coasted to the Central League win.
Sarah Spector had four goals for the Aces.
Harriton 18, Marple Newtown 2
Laura Walzer and Kate Melvin each had three goals and an assist and Carli Sukonik contributed three goals and three draw controls to pace the undefeated Rams to the Central League win.
Jess Schwab added two goals and three assists for Harriton.
Annabel Shin had both Marple goals.
Garnet Valley 18, Penncrest 9
AnneElise Morello had four goals and three assists and Ashley Pyle added four goals for the host Jaguars in the Central League win.
Halley Barnes (four assists) and Alley Heavens (two assists) each scored three goals for Garnet Valley.
Christy Bond and Samantha Jumper each scored three goals for Penncrest.
Strath Haven 14, Ridley 5
Alex Duckenfield had six goals and two assists and Sara Labrum had three to help the Panthers earn the Central League win.
Ellen Udovich scored twice for Ridley.
Radnor 14, Upper Darby 1
Libby Lowry collected three goals and four assists while Shannon Quinn and Abby Junior each had two goals and an assist to help the Red Raiders remain undefeated.
Shipley School 11, Moorestown Friends (NJ) 9
Teddy Chase scored four goals and Kelley Hardon added three while Sophie Katz had a goal and four assists to power the Gators to the Friends Schools League win.
Friends’ Central 15, St. Hubert 10
Ashley Tedesco piled up six goals and four assists while Emma Dahle collected four goals, three assists, four draw controls, two groundballs and two caused turnovers and sister Becca Dahle added two goals, five assists, two draw control, three groundballs and three forced turnovers for the Phoenix in their non-league win.
