Travis Manion Executive Director to speak Monday at Ambler Theater on 9/11 Heroes Run, foundation

If you’re in the Philadelphia area Monday night September 12th please join the Travis Manion Foundation at the Ambler Theater.

Ryan Manion, sister of the late Travis Manion, will speak about the 9/11 Heroes Run, the work of the Travis Manion Foundation, and introduce Navy SEAL, best selling author, and The Mission Continues CEO Eric Greitens.

Tickets are free, but people are asked to REGISTER to reserve a seat for the 6 p.m. reception and 7 p.m. presentation.

The evening includes a reception and book signing.

The Travis Manion Foundation is sponsoring 5-K runs in 14 states – including six locations in Pennsylvania – as part of its annual 9/11 Heroes Run on September 11 to honor the victims of 9/11 on the 10th anniversary of the attacks.

Five of the six sites in Pennsylvania will be held in the Philadelphia Region – In Fairmount Park, Doylestown, Harleysville, Pottstown and West Chester. A race also will be held in Pittsburgh.

September 2011 will mark the fourth annual 9/11 Heroes Run in Doylestown, Manion’s hometown, where thousands have run to remember. In 2010, six Heroes Runs were put on in various towns across the country including Doylestown, Irvine, CA and Annapolis, MD.

1st Lt. Travis Manion, USMC, was a 1999 graduate of La Salle College High and a lacrosse standout. He was a Marine Corps officer who was killed by a sniper while serving in Iraq on April 29, 2007.
