Registration is open for the Southern States Elite Camp, a special boys’ lacrosse recruiting camp Dec. 10-11 at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.
The Southern States Elite Lacrosse Camp, run by Shirk Lacrosse, is an instructional recruiting weekend for elite high school players. Players will have a chance to showcase their skills for college coaches through instructional practices conducted by college coaches, followed by four games with sanctioned referees.
Players will be placed on a team that will be coached by one college coach. This camp will also include a college admissions program, run by a Washington College Admissions Staff Member.
The college admissions program will cover topics such as what to expect when applying to college and how to prepare properly. Players will also attend a strength and conditioning/weight lifting session. This camp was the first of its kind in the southern states.
Dozens of Division I, II and III college coaches will be on hand. The camp directors are Jeff Shirk, Head Coach, Washington College; and Gene McCabe, Head Coach, Washington and Lee University
