Instructor Bios:

*Phyllis Kilgour was head coach at Radnor for 32 years and won District 1 crowns in 1986, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2008 before the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) began to sanction a state tournament in 2009. Until then, the District 1 champions were considered to be state champions.
Radnor defeated Springfield-Delco, 14-7, for its second PIAA title under Kilgour in 2010. She was named Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year.

Kilgour’s teams went 75-2 in her last three years and an incredible 231-24-1 since 2000. Thirty-eight of her players have been All-Americans and many more have gone on to excel at the college level and some eventually became college coaches.

Kilgour has served as Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association (PASLA) National Tournament Chair, PASLA Treasurer, PASLA League Representative, All-American Committee, and on the US U-19 Team selection committee. In addition, she has helped organized and coach the U-17 and U-19 teams from the area competing in the annual Vail Shootout in Colorado.

She was elected to the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2005. A graduate of J.P. McCaskey, Kilgour graduated from Indiana University and began coaching lacrosse at Radnor Middle School in the late 1960s.

*Kim Jackson was a three-time National champion as a goalie at Delaware in the 1980s and is considered as of the top women’s lacrosse goalkeepers in NCAA history. She set several school records, which still stand today. She was a two time Collegiate All-American, won All-NCAA tournament honors in 1982, first team All-ECC in 1982, USWLA All-American, and was named to the United States Women’s Lacrosse Squad from 1981-85.

As the 25-year head coach at Henderson High, Jackson has won three state titles (the 1998 team was a national runner-up) and had two runner-up finishes. Last year her team went 13-6 and qualified for the District 1 tournament. Her program has also produced three U19 players, numerous All Americans and Division I players. She was named coach of the year three times and has been inducted into the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame, as well as the Conestoga High School and the University of Delaware Athletic Halls of Fame.

*Jenny Duckenfield led Strath Haven to its first Central League co-championship in 2010 and is head coach at Mount St. Joseph. Duckenfield was an assistant at Strath Haven when it reached the state finals in 2009. She was a Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year Runner up choice in 2010 and is a coach at Ultimate Goal Lacrosse Club.

Duckenfield is Director of the Philly Girls’ Showcase and directs the largest fall and winter girls’ lacrosse leagues in the region. She also has served as an assistant coach of the Philly Under Armour Underclassmen Games in 2010-11.
