The winds of change are blowing . . . the integration and convergence of box and field lacrosse is here.

Are you on target to take your game to the next level? American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) is spearheading the indoor lacrosse phenomenon of blending the skill sets formed by these two versions of the sport. With lacrosse icons leading the way, local Philadelphia players can expect to be one step ahead of the trend.
AILA president/CEO, Johnny Mouradian (GM/Head Coach of NLL Philadelphia Wings, Canadian Hall of Famer, GM – Canadian National Team) has engaged professionals such as Canadian, Kevin Crowley and Philly native Steve Holmes (Germantown Academy alum).
Crowley was the NLL’s #1 overall first round draft pick scooped up by the Philadelphia Wings in the October draft. He used his lifetime of box experience to lead him to a Tewaaraton finalist position in NCAA Division I last year at Stony Brook. Kevin has relocated to Philly and brings his box prowess to AILA’s instructional leagues and academies.
Holmes, from Blue Bell, entering his second season with the Philadelphia Wings defensive line-up and also is a defender for the MLL Denver Outlaws, where he applies box lacrosse experience to improve his field game at the pro level.
Holmes went on to play and coach at Virginia during their NCAA championship season. “There is certainly great worth to playing both versions of the sport, especially at the youth level, and that is what AILA is offering,” says Holmes. “I’m excited to return to my hometown to teach younger players why they will need these skills going on to college and beyond.”
Offering top flight NLL-style lacrosse instructional leagues to players in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Lehigh counties, as well as Philadelphia, American Indoor Lacrosse is riding just in front of the wave helping US field players elevate their skill level through cross-training—a concept they call “In*Crosse”. Winter youth leagues are forming now at The Factory in King of Prussia and Bucksmont Indoor Sports Center, Hatfield, PA.
