Phillylacrosse.com Editor Chris Goldberg will be a member of the voting panel for the expanded ESPNRISE.com POWERADE FAB 50 boys’ lacrosse poll for the 2011 season.
Also on the panel are media members from ESPNRISE, LaxPower and VarsitySportsNetwork.com.
The preseason POWERADE FAB 50 will be released on Wednesday, March 9 and will continue every week until the end of the boy’s high school lacrosse season.
Two of the voters have strong Philly ties. One is LaxPower’s Jimmy Oliver, former President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association and formerly the head coach and assistant coach at several Philly high schools.
Another voter is ESPNRISE writer Brett Manney, a defenseman on the Philadelphia Wings and a key member of the University Of Delaware squad that reached the NCAA Final Four in 2007. Manney also is a graduate of Holy Ghost Prep where he was a three-sport star.
Last season Manhasset (Manhasset, N.Y.) finished as the FAB 50 National Champions.
