The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) playoffs enter the semifinal round Tuesday as defending state champ Conestoga meets Central Bucks East, the team it defeated to win its third straight District 1 championship. In the bottom half of the bracket, St. Joseph’s Prep faces District 7 champ Mount Lebanon in the semifinals.

Here are this week’s Boys’ Rankings.

1. Haverford School (23-0) – The Fords are about to be anointed as National Champions after a perfect season. Prev: No. 1

2. Conestoga (23-1) – The Pioneers – who routed Hempfield, 16-2, in the quarterfinals – seek to play in the PIAA finals for the third straight year when they meet Central Bucks East Tuesday at Harriton at 2 p.m. Prev: No. 2.

3. Malvern Prep (14-6) – The Friars placed second in the Inter-Ac League and Inter-Ac Invitational. Prev: No. 3

4. Central Bucks East (22-2) – The Patriots avenged an early-season loss to Allentown Central Catholic and get a second shot at Conestoga Tuesday in the PIAA semifinals at Harriton at 2 p.m. Prev: No. 4

5. St. Joseph’s Prep (18-4) – The Hawks earned a stellar come-from-behind, overtime victory over Manheim Township to reach the PIAA semifinals. They now take on District 7 champion Mount Lebanon Tuesday at a site and time to be determined. Prev: No. 5

6. La Salle (14-6) – The Explorers fell to St. Joseph’s Prep in the Catholic League title game. Prev: No. 6

7. Downingtown West (20-3) – The Whippets finished third in District 1 and advanced to the PIAA tourney for the first time after winning their first outright Ches-Mont League championship. Prev: No. 7

8. Penn Charter (12-11) – The Quakers reached the semifinals of the Inter-Ac Invitational. Prev: No. 8

9. Germantown Academy (14-5) – The Patriots placed third in the Inter-Ac League. Prev: No. 9

10. Pennsbury (15-9) – The Falcons finished fourth in the District 1 championships and qualified for states for the PIAA tourney for the time. Prev: No. 10

Under Consideration: Abington (15-6), Allentown Central Catholic (19-5), Avon Grove (17-4), Downingtown East (13-6), Garnet Valley (15-5) Great Valley (15-5), Radnor (12-8), Ridley (19-4), Shipley School (16-3), Spring-Ford (20-4).
