Philly women lacrosse players honored by IWLCA as members of 2011 Academic Honor Roll

The IWLCA honored 187 student-athletes from 65 different institutions with inclusion in the 2011 Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically. Among the 187 student-athletes are 33 who were members of teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament, including two from national champion Northwestern and two from national runner-up Maryland. In addition, the following student-athletes were recognized:

Among the 43 student-athletes are ten who were members of teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament, including three from national semifinalist West Chester.

The IWLCA honored 219 student-athletes from 85 different institutions with inclusion in the 2011 Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically. Leading the way was IWLCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year Emmy Mathews from Washington & Lee. Among the 219 student-athletes are 52 who were members of teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament, including one from national champion Gettysburg, and four from national semifinalist TCNJ. Also honored are National Goalkeeper of the Year Lily Nguyen from Middlebury, National Midfielder of the Year Leigh Mitchell from TCNJ, and National Attacker of the Year Alison Jaeger from TCNJ.
