Staff Report
One more Philly player has been added to the final roster of the ESPN RISE Warrior 40, which will feature many of the top-rated boys’ lacrosse underclassmen in the nation in a three-day skills event July 7-9 at Harvard University.
Bishop Shanahan rising senior defenseman Chris Panichelli has been added to the final roster, giving Philly six players. Six players had already been selected, but one – Haverford School defenseman/LSM Will McNamara – had to pull out due to a scheduling conflict with the USA U-19 tryouts.
Players competing in the Warrior 40 will receive expert coaching from Major League Lacrosse all-stars and other top coaches and then compete in skills events (tape delayed on ESPNU). They will play in a game that will be televised (tape delay) on ESPNU and also be introduced at halftime to the crowd at the MLL All-Star Game July 9 at Harvard.
