Hill School PG attackman Anthony Marone has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Washington College.
Anthony Marone log:

High School: The Hill School
Graduation Year: 2012 (Post-graduate, played at Seton Hall Prep, NJ)
Position: Attack
College Choice: Washington College
Club Affiliation: Tri-State (NJ)
Major lacrosse honors: Top 205 Rising Junior and Senior, Rutgers MVP Camp, Tri-state National.
Academic honors: French Honors
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose school? “I chose Washington College because of its excellent reputation with a great mix of academics and athletics. I met most of the guys on the team and they all love the school which really gave me the confidence that I would too. I also felt very comfortable with first-year head coach Jeff Shirk who has coached in Division 1, appeared in two national championship games, and played professional lacrosse.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “It’s kind of hard to tell with me being a new guy to the team as a post-grad, but the main core of Hill’s team returns plus myself and four other post-grads. We’ve all been playing around together all fall and everyone is good friends on and off the field. Once the team starts jelling we should be hard to stop.”
Other comments: “First and foremost I would like to thank my parents for always being there for me. I would also like to thank all those who have coached me throughout the years especially my old high school coach Dave Giarusso (Seton Hall Prep) for his constant support on the field and in the classroom. Finally, I’d like to thank Andrew Decicco for all his help throughout my recruiting process.”
