Germantown Academy senior goalie Jacob Adoni has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Gettysburg College.

Jacob Adoni log:

Jacob Adoni

High School: Germantown Academy

Graduation Year: 2012

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Gettysburg

Club Affiliation: Mesa Fresh 2012

Major lacrosse honors: First team All-Inter Ac, 2011; Second team, 2010; Honorable Mention All-Phillylacrosse.com, 2011; PennStar U-15 All-Star team.

What will you major in/study? Economics/Business

Why did you choose Gettysburg? “It was a perfect fit academically and lacrosse-wise. It’s a really good school and has a lacrosse team that competes for a National championship very year. It’s about 2 hours away so my parents can watch me play. The campus is beautiful. I was extremely impressed with coach (Hank) Janczyk and coach (Doug) Sage on my visit.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We bring back a good amount of our offense and we have a good group of young defensemen. We all know how tough the Inter-Ac schedule is. This year it will only be tougher. We are all going to work hard to make sure we can compete.”

Additional comments: “First thank you to my Mom and Dad and sister for all their support, and all my friends. Also, my Mesa Fresh coaches, Peter Rohr, Rob Lord, and Marty McGregor, as well as GA coaches David Martin (head coach), Brian Grady and Dave Samson.”
