Penn State has added two Philly grads to its men’s lacrosse roster for 2012, junior midfielder John Cugini (Springfield-Delco) and freshman defenseman Dan Marr (Pennsbury).
Cugini is a transfer from the University of Denver where he played in nine games in two seasons at midfield while also taking face-offs. He was a four-year letterwinner at Springfield-Delco and was captain of a team that reached the state semifinals in 2009. Cugini was an Honorable Mention Central League pick and Team MVP in 2009.
Marr led Pennsbury to its first appearance in the PIAA tournament last year and was a three-time First Team Suburban One National Conference selection. Marr was a co-captain last year and a four-year starter.
