The show was aired live at 6:30 p.m. and featured special guest John Nostrant, coach of 2011 national champion Haverford School Fords (23-0) and co-owner of Gold Medal Recruiting. Nostrant spoke about the 2011 season and also about the overall recruiting scene.
Goldberg and Xanders reviewed the current recruiting scene, touching on the early signing period and the many recruiting events being held in the Northeast Region. They also reviewed the final Top 5 boys’ teams from 2011 (including two-time state champion Conestoga) and the Top 5 girls’ teams, while Xanders also examined the top college men’s classes for 2012 based on this year’s seniors.
The next live edition of “Lax High” will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1. The show is being held every other week and rotates with ‘By The Book” with Radnor High grad and Baltimore sportscaster Booker Corrigan as the host. There will not be a 6:30 show on Thanksgiving Day.
Goldberg is owner of Lacrosse Media, which also runs LILacrosseNews.com, and is a contributing writer for Lacrosse Magazine and laxmagazine.com. Xanders specializes in commitment stories and player and team rankings at Inside Lacrosse.
