Interboro Young Bucs claim U-13 boys’ championship at Morey’s Piers Beach Lacrosse Tournament in Wildwood

The Interboro Young Bucs claimed the U-13 boys’ team championship last weekend in the Morey’s Piers Beach Lacrosse Tournament at Wildwood.

The tourney – held for the second year – featured male and female 70 teams in age classes from U-12 to Open divisions.

Interboro went undefeated in the tourney and downed the Avalon Elites (N.J.), 17-5 in the finals after handling the Cherry Hill Mobsters (N.J.), 18-3, in the semifinals. Overall, the Young Bucs outscored their foes by a whopping 62-10.

Brandon Stouch and Quintin Frangelli excelled as the goalies while DJ Drohan and Zach Lloyd were standout on defense and Jake Pfaff and Donovan Pierce stood out on both sides. Eric Thomas and Chris Hummell led the team in scoring and made many key passes. Chris Thomas also was on the roster.

Brian Stouch was the head coach.

Meanwhile, the Interboro Young Bucs Yellow squad placed second in the U-12 division. The team consisted of Chris Thomas, Nate Murtha, Brett McLaughlin, Billy Hallinan, Gaige Lennon, Christian DiNapoli, Shamis Drohan, Isaiah Taliaferro, Liam McCanney and Ricky Neil. The coach was Bob McLaughlin.
