Inter-Ac Invitational: Malvern Prep coasts past Shipley School, 19-4, to advance to semifinals

Jake Glancy and TJ Hanzsche each had two goals and two assist to lead a balanced attack as host Malvern Prep handled Shopley School, 19-4, today in the quarterfinals of the Inter-Ac Invitational.

The second-seeded Friars (13-5) advance to the semifinals Saturday (7 p.m.) vs. Inter-Ac rival Penn Charter at Cabrini College.

Shipley School, which had advanced with a stunning upset of Episcopal Academy, fell to 15-3 and hosts Academy of the New Church in the Friends Schools League finals Friday.

Keith Dreyer, Conor Glancy, Tommy O”Connor, Vince Travaglini and Joey Klinges each added two goals for Malvern Prep. Dew Kennedy won 16 of 18 face-offs.

Mike Litner had two goals and an assist for the Gators while Julius Mouser had a goal and an assist.
