The preseason event brought together many girls that have played in the two youth programs from the township, the Lower Merion Youth and Quaker City Lacrosse Club programs.
In addition to host Harriton and Lower Merion of the Central League, the Playday featured Merion Mercy and Sacred Heart of the Athletic Association of Catholic Academies, Agnes Irwin and Penn Charter of the Inter-Ac League, and Shipley School and Friends’ Central of the Friends Schools League.
The event sponsor, Longstreth of Pottstown, supplied t-shirts to all participants.
Each team played four games with 30-minute running clocks.
“It’s been a great day here at Harriton High School,” said event organizer and Harriton coach George Dick. “We had many players here that have played in our youth organizations in Lower Merion here for many years.
“We have a lot of parents that know each other and a lot of players know each other. It’s a good round robin things where kids can work on things as they get ready for the season. You see a lot of talented kids out here and they’ve had a great time. And Longstreth Lacrosse did a great job supplying t-shirts for the girls.”
